A message from Shailaja Hayden, MD - Founder & Group Coordinator
I am a Pulmonary & Critical Care physician with UT Dell Medical School and Ascension Medical Group. It is my great privilege to care for patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD). I sometimes see patients struggling to cope with a life-changing diagnosis, manage complex treatments and their side effects, and explain all of this to loved ones who may have never heard of the diagnosis.
Connecting with other patients with similar experiences, who can share their stories and advice, can provide much needed support and understanding. I want to play a part in bringing patients in our community together.
Please note that I cannot give any specific medical advice during my role with this support group; please discuss questions about your own care with your physician.
